This photo is of S. A. Livingston Horse Shoe Store located at 93rd and South Chicago Avenue around 1900. It reflects a business no longer seen in city neighborhoods, but one that was crucial prior to automobiles when using horses was still commonplace. Notice the high entrance which allowed carriages to enter the shop for repair and also the women on the roof of the store.
