Date Created: undated

Donor: Millicent Flowers

Media Type: Photograph

Backstory:

This image is of the Flowers Barbershop and was donated by Millicent Flowers via Steven Walsh, dir. of documentary “Southeast: a city within a city.” Millicent Flowers recalled that steel mill workers used to come in for haircuts. As the steel mills began to close, hair appointments dwindled, forcing the barbershop to close in 1981.
