Backstory:

Harry Pacini’s parents emigrated from Nothern Italy and and his father worked as a grocer. At one time, the Pacini family owned a cigar-candy store and a diner in South Chicago and on the East Side. Brother Emil was the city’s alderman between 1945 and 1963. Many South Siders were hard-core White Sox fans.
